MEXICO CITY, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Mexico will meet Paraguay in a November friendly as both teams prepare for next year's FIFA World Cup, the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) said on Wednesday.

The match will be played at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas of the United States on November 18, three days after Mexico's home friendly against Uruguay in Torreon.

Mexico will also face Colombia in Dallas and Ecuador in Guadalajara during October's FIFA international window.

El Tri automatically qualified for the 2026 World Cup as the tournament co-hosts alongside the United States and Canada.

Paraguay secured a World Cup berth for the first time since 2010 after finishing sixth in CONMEBOL qualifying. ■
