Zhang Jun (C), Chinese permanent representative to the United Nations, addresses a meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in Syria, at the UN headquarters in New York, Jan. 10, 2020. Zhang said China always has reservations regarding the establishment of a Syrian cross-border humanitarian relief mechanism. Zhang called on all relevant parties to step up cooperation with the Syrian government and prioritize providing humanitarian assistance from inside Syria.
